Account and data deletion

Delete your Komunityoo account and data

This page explains how a member or a community can ask Think Numeric Inc., the developer of Komunityoo, to delete an account and the personal information linked to it. It applies to the Komunityoo website, web app and mobile apps.

For members: delete your account

  1. 1

Send an email to contact [at] komunityoo.com from the email address linked to your Komunityoo account, with the subject "Account deletion".

  2. 2

Tell us the name of your community or association, or of each one if you belong to several.

  3. 3

We confirm your request by email and inform the administrators of your community, who manage your membership.

  4. 4

Your account and personal information are deleted within 30 days of our confirmation, and we let you know by email.

You can also ask your community's administrator to remove you from the community.

What is deleted

  • Your login account: email address, password and sign-in details
  • Your profile: photo, phone number, address, date of birth and other profile information
  • Your notification and language preferences
  • Your session and device information

What may be kept, and for how long

  • Your community's financial records (dues, contributions, tontine and loan entries, payments) can be kept as long as the law requires for its accounting, generally up to 6 years in Canada, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Records your community must keep, such as minutes, attendance and decisions, remain under your community's responsibility.
  • Security logs and backup copies are kept for up to 90 days, then erased automatically.

For communities: close your community and delete its data

An administrator of the community or association can ask us to close it and delete all of its data. Write to contact [at] komunityoo.com with the subject "Community deletion". Before deletion, you can ask for an export of your data. The community's data is deleted within 30 days after the end of the subscription, and backup copies within 90 days after that.
