Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Think Numeric Inc., which develops and operates Komunityoo, uses cookies and similar technologies on the komunityoo.com website, in the app.komunityoo.com web application and in the Komunityoo mobile apps.
It complements the Komunityoo Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how Personal Information is collected, used and protected. Terms defined in the Privacy Policy have the same meaning in this Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. It lets the site remember certain information, for example that you are logged in or which language you chose.
Similar technologies, such as browser or device local storage, can serve the same purposes. This Policy applies to all of these technologies.
2. The cookies we use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to work. They are used in particular to:
- keep your session open while you are logged in;
- protect your Account and the Platform against unauthorized access and abuse;
- secure forms and exchanges with our servers;
- balance traffic between our servers.
Without these cookies, it is not possible to log in to the app or use its features. They therefore do not require your prior consent.
2.2 Preference Cookies
These cookies remember your choices to improve your experience, including:
- the language you chose (English or French), through the NEXT_LOCALE cookie on the website;
- certain display preferences in the app.
2.3 Audience Measurement
The komunityoo.com website uses Vercel Web Analytics to produce overall traffic statistics, such as the number of visits per page. This tool does not set any cookies and cannot track you from one site to another.
If audience measurement tools that use cookies were added to the app, they would only be enabled with your consent where Applicable Laws require it.
2.4 Third-Party Payment Cookies
When an Organization uses online payment features, transactions are processed by an independent payment service provider. As of the date of this Policy, this is primarily Stripe.
Stripe may set its own cookies, in particular to prevent fraud and secure payments. These cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy policy and cookie policy.
3. No advertising cookies
Komunityoo does not use advertising cookies and does not allow advertising networks to set cookies to track you or show you targeted advertising.
Think Numeric Inc. does not sell Personal Information.
4. Retention periods
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser or log out.
- Preference cookies are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or renewed on your next visit.
- Security cookies are kept for as long as needed to protect your Account, up to 12 months.
5. Mobile apps
The Komunityoo mobile apps do not use advertising cookies. They store on your device the information needed to keep your session open and remember your preferences, such as your language.
This information is deleted when you log out or uninstall the app.
6. Managing your preferences
You can view, block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Your browser's help pages explain how.
If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in to the app or use some features.
7. Changes to this policy
Think Numeric Inc. may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Platform, the technologies used or Applicable Laws. The date of the last update appears at the top of this document.
Where changes are significant, Think Numeric Inc. will take reasonable steps to inform Organizations and Users.
